Toyota Shipping Confirmation System: Streamlining Supply Chain Processes
Toyota Motor North America Inc. has released a new program called Toyota Shipping Confirmation System (TSCS), which aims to improve supply chain processes in two areas: supplier packing and supplier shipping. The program offers three platforms for suppliers to capture and communicate skid and shipment data to Toyota, with Toyota Shipping Confirmation Mobile being the Android and iOS-compatible option that utilizes any device that can connect to a mobile data network. This platform is designed for suppliers who do not have existing scanning processes on their shipping dock and can be used by any supplier.
TSCS focuses on identifying the contents of each skid as the order is filled (Box to Skid linkage) and scanning each skid onto the Toyota truck at the supplier's end. The program aims to streamline the supply chain processes and reduce manual errors that can occur during packing and shipping. Toyota Shipping Confirmation Mobile is a free-to-use program that offers a simple and efficient solution to suppliers who want to improve their supply chain processes.
